Corporate employees help to restore land and water

In 2015, Great River Greening worked with over 2,000 volunteers from all backgrounds, and this includes volunteers from leading businesses and corporations within the Twin Cities. Thomson Reuters, Ecolab, Andersen Corporation, 3M, RBC, and CBRE are some of the companies that sponsored employee volunteer events, involving cumulatively more than 200 colleagues.

RBC Employees spent an afternoon at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park, thinning invasive and over-abundant trees to allow in more sunlight, and stabilizing the bare soil by planting 300 native wildflowers.Other companies organized large numbers of their staff to spend a morning getting their hands dirty at our public events, including Aetna, Fairmount Santrol, Land O' Lakes, Optum/UHC, Pohlad Companies, Stoel Rives, and Summit Brewing.For information about Corporate volunteer opportunities >  Read More
