Earth Day Spring Activities

By: Ninet A. Marketing Communications Intern

Earth Day is right around the corner, the sun is finally shining through and it feels like we can accomplish anything. At Great River Greening, we take pride in providing activities that involve being active outdoors and giving an appreciation to Mother Nature herself. If you’re looking to keep your kids active or even yourself,  take a look at some of our favorite parks we’ve done work in:

1. Westwood Hills Nature Center

Westwood Hills Nature Center has programs centered around family nature time, even at-home programs where kids can learn a variety of science activities.

2. Three Rivers Parks District

Take in the beautiful formal garden, learn a new activity,  even learn a little bit of history of the Three Rivers Parks District. *P.S. GRG has done work at Elm Creek Reserve

3. Parks and Recreation | Saint Paul Minnesota (stpaul.gov)

Explore the outdoors in St. Paul and learn more about the environment through their natural resources program, from flowering plants to in-hive honey experience.

4. River Bend Nature Center

River Bend Nature Center just came out with an outdoor play area specially for kids to  play in the woods (Kids in the Wild)!

5.  Dakota County Parks & Recs

From trails to archery to paddle-boarding- Dakota County Parks & Recs has a lot of activities, it’s almost never ending. With the weather warming up, there is a plethora of activities to do.
