Science Area Teen Network Milestone

Greening's Science Area Teen Network passed a milestone in 2011, engaging 500 at-risk and minority teens since it began. In addition to hands-on restoration work and class activities, these youth talked with community mentors in the science field whose background reflected their own, learning how leadership skills developed as teens can be used in future careers.Major 2011 funding from Andersen Corporate Foundation, Best Buy Children's Foundation, Pentair Foundation, Pohlad Family Foundation, and Starbucks Foundation.
