Your support of Great River Greening matters.

Great River Greening is a leader in land and water restoration efforts across Minnesota, transforming more than 400 natural areas into beautiful, healthy places to explore nature since our beginning.

But our work does more than improve outdoor places. By restoring green spaces and waterways—as we’ve done alongside thousands of volunteers and donors for 27 years—we’re also fighting the harmful effects of climate change in our community. Your gift will fund important restoration work that both transforms Minnesota’s natural areas and protects our delicate climate.

Healthy, resilient natural areas are a powerful tool in this fight. Prairies, forests, and wetlands trap excess carbon that would otherwise threaten our delicate ecosystem. The result? Lower greenhouse gas emissions, cleaner air and water, and overall improved quality of life.

Over the next year, your gift will help sequester 61,000 metric tons of carbon, the equivalent of taking 13,260 cars off the road.

How? This year alone your gift will:

Engage 2,500 volunteers in our work; actively inspiring advocates for climate resiliency. Restore 2,000 acres of prairie and grasslands. Strengthen 120 natural areas with resilient plants. Transform 2,000 acres of forests and wetlands.

Your partnership today in this stewardship will directly improve water quality, air quality, natural areas, and wildlife for all Minnesotans. Thank you.
