Michelle Lian-Anderson is a seasoned professional with decades of experience in the field of advancement and philanthropy, currently serving as the Chief Philanthropy Officer for Great River Greening. Her illustrious career includes tenure at the University of Minnesota Foundation, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the institution's student support initiatives as the Chief Development Officer for university-wide scholarship programs.

Michelle has pivoted her career to help Minnesota’s wildlife and waterways flourish by raising awareness of and support for Great River Greening. In her free time, she enjoys family and friends, her 7-pound miniature pincher/chihuahua, swimming in any number of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes, community-science frog and toad monitoring, mashing up serendipitously caught wildlife videos with appropriate musical backdrops, and sharing her love of music through DJing.
