Ollin works to connect communities to the joys, benefits and stewardship of their urban forests and urban green spaces. He is part of the team leading the Cooling Minnesota Communities program – an initiative with a focus on mitigating extreme heat, deepening climate resiliency and increasing equitable access to urban tree canopies.  

Ollin worked for 6 years as a community organizer. In 2018, he started as an immigrant rights organizer with ISAIAH working with Latine grassroots leaders to win a legal defense fund in St. Paul and Ramsey County. In 2021, he became the campaign organizer for the 100% campaign.  The campaign won its marquee bill in 2023 requiring all utility companies in Minnesota to source 100% of their energy from clean and renewable sources by 2040.

When he’s not loitering under a tree, he loves reading poetry and cooking for his peeps.
